Poursmith (“the app,” “we”) is a personal cocktail companion. It is built to keep your data on your device, and to be plain about the few things that leave it. This policy explains what we handle and why.
Your bar inventory, saved recipes, favorites, menu, and taste preferences are stored locally on your device only. There are no accounts, and this data is never sent to us or anyone else. Deleting the app removes it.
Some features generate or interpret content using an AI service (Anthropic’s Claude), reached through our hosting provider (Vercel). When you use one of these, the relevant input is sent for processing and a result is returned:
This input is used only to produce your result. Poursmith does not retain your photos or inputs after returning the result, does not link them to your identity (there are no accounts), and never uses them for advertising or tracking. Processing is subject to the terms and privacy practices of Anthropic and Vercel. If you don’t use the AI features, nothing leaves your device.
Camera & Photos — used only so you can take or choose a picture for the photo features above. An image is accessed only when you pick it.
The “Share menu” feature creates a link (and QR code) that encodes your chosen cocktails. The menu lives entirely in the link — it is not stored on any server. Anyone you give the link to can view the menu in a browser.
Poursmith concerns alcohol and is intended for adults (rated 17+). It is not directed to children.
We may update this policy; the effective date above will change to reflect it.
